Permanent linkJune 4, 2011, 1 am in the morning. I sit at my desk and outside my window are a sea of tents, a lighted pathway, and dozens of WHSS students and staff who walk in support of cancer survivors and cancer research. Relay for Life. This event is just another example of all that is good about our school and our community. Each and every day since September, students and staff at WHSS have amazed me with their dedication, character, and support. Last week our prom was held, Vintage Carnival. Of the 24 proms I have attended, one being my own, this by far was the most memorable. From the decorations, buskers, carnival games, and supper, the prom will be one that our grads will never forget! As we race towards the end of another school year, there are still many activities to look forward to. Our year end assembly, exams, okay, not everyone looks forward to these, but they do indicate that school is almost over, and our first annual athletic banquet that will be held in our new school. The banquet is our opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of our student athletes and the dedication and support of our coaches and volunteers. I count myself fortunate to have been principal of WHSS this past school year. WHSS is something we should all be proud of; proud to call ourselves Wolverines! I want to wish everyone, especially our student Rachel Dinar, a relaxing and enjoyable summer. Use this time to spend with family and friends, and most importantly, to reenergize, since Sept 6, 2011, the beginning of the 2011/2012 school year is just around the corner!
