I can't believe that a month has gone by so quickly. October will certainly be another busy month at WHSS. Last night staff and parents met at Parent/Teacher Interviews. Just prior to this event, our local thespians were hard at work "breaking a leg" so to speak, preparing for November's production of The Diary of Anne Frank. Sports are well under way - field hockey, soccer, volleyball, x-country. As I write this blog, 47 of our students, and several staff supervisors, including our vice-principal, Mrs. Arbuckle, are on a bus headed for the Big Apple. Hopefully, Mrs. A. does not forget to bring me back a famous N.Y. pretzel! Last week, our outdoor education class returned from the "great outdoors" and their canoe trip. Oct 19, is the date of our next School Council. It will take place from 7 - 8:30 pm in our conference room. All parents are welcome. Oct 22, 2010, is Pink Day at WHSS. Students are to wear pink and will be asked to make a small donation to help support a cure for breast cancer. Finally, our Halloween dance will take place Oct 28, from 7:30 - 10:30. Will I once again reprise my role as Elvis this year, or has he left the building?
