The Scholastic Book Fair Safari has arrived. Each child will have a chance to preview the Book Fair during the next few days to create a wish list of ideas. Children will be invited to purchase books during the day on Thursday, but the real fun begins on Thursday night.

Please join us in our school library during the evening on Thursday, November 25th (3:30 pm to 8:00 pm) and during the day on Friday, November 26th (9:00 am to 2:30 pm) for our Book Fair Family Event. Come in and browse the book sale and support the growth of our library by buying some holiday gifts for your family and friends. A portion of each sale will go back into our library to help us build our collection into a diverse, engaging selection of books.  

We will also have a Family Event draw to win $25.00 towards books for your family, as well as $25.00 in books for your child's teacher. Ballots are on the back of your child's Book Fair flyer.  

Take a moment to celebrate reading with your child and support the growth of our school library by joining us at our Scholastic Book Fair.

Progress Reports will come home today.  This is different from anything that came home last year.  You will notice that there are no marks on the report and that it looks very different.  Please remember that we are only two months into school and this is meant as a preview.  We want you to know how your child is doing midway through term one and what we can do, together, to help in their success.  Please read the progress report carefully and please, if at all possible,  book an interview with your child's teacher next Thursday evening or Friday during the day.

The oranges and grapefruit will be arriving next week.  Please notify your customers and families of the following pick-up dates and times:

Wednesday November 24 - 8:00 am - 9:30 am and 3:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Thursday November 25 - 8:00 am - 9:30 am and 3:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Garbage bags can be picked up at these times too. 

Thank you for your replies to our request to fill the Tuesday/Thursday Lunch Supervisor position.  This position is now filled.

Skating Party!

School Council has booked the University of Guelph Skating Rink for December 20th at 5:30pm.  We will have around an hour to skate and visit with other people.  We hope that many of our students and families can join us to celebrate the season.  Mark it on your calendar!

We are in need of a lunch room supervisor every day from 10:45 - 11:30 am.  This is a paid position.  If you are interested, please call the school at 519-766-4400 ext 224.  Even if you are only available some mornings, please give us a call.
