On our April PA Day we talked and learned as a staff about many things. One of the activities we completed was a School Self Assessment. This is where we, as a staff, evaluate how we are doing at creating the learning environment for our children. It is a great celebration on what we are doing well and helps us set direction for improving student learning. I am very honored to be learning with such a group of dedicated teachers and staff who work hard everyday to help your child learn!
Some of the ways that you can help and be involved are as follows: Ask your child - What did you learn in reading today? (Or writing or math or science, etc.), encourage your child to keep reading for the 100 nights of reading ( read together), sign your child’s planner, and ask your child’s teacher what is happening in class ( I know many of you touch base already at the beginning or the end of the day!)
