Isak and Leah, what did you find weird about the book? Was it Miss Stella? She is a very original character. What makes her so different? Would you like her if she was your babysitter? Why or why not?

I enjoyed this book, because it was different from the other books in the Silver Spruce list. I felt bad for Tansy because her mom was sick from depression and was away from home. Miss Stella is unique and I liked that she taught Tansy calligraphy. I thought it was nice that they became firends in the end. I loved this book!

It's lovely to see so many different comments about my book. Today I'm off to visit my new grandson on Vancouver Island, but I'll come back soon and leave a note or two.
Happy reading, everyone!

I think that the story was a good because I thought Miss Stella was mean at first, but when I read more she was not so mean after all. I also thought it was cool when Miss Stella showed Tansy how to do fancy letter writing. I think that Miss Stella and Tansy will become very good friends together.I also like how Miss Stella only focuses on one thing at a time and never stops until the job is done.
