UGDSB Student Success 7-12

2011-12

Student Success is a top priority in the Upper Grand District School Board. This booklet reflects a few of the many programs, ideas and interventions that educators in this board have created, implemented and dedicated themselves to in the name of supporting all students.

Diversity of program and approach pervade the Student Success work in Upper Grand. Teachers and support staff have taken the time to listen to the needs of their students and have created events and programs that reflect the diversity of needs.

Within each of these programs, there is personalization - finding out just what the individual learner needs. The focus on pathways, purposeful interventions, effective instruction, numeracy and literacy the very pillars of Student Success are at the core of the work done here in Grades 7-12.

Thank you to our committee leaders, to Rob Rosie, our Student Success Curriculum Leader, to the teachers who support these students, and most importantly, to the students who show us how to become strong, resilient and capable learners and citizens. You are Student Success.

Let the success continue!
