Kindergarten and Full Day Early Learning Kindergarten

Kindergarten is a two year program that includes Junior (year 1) and Senior (year 2) Kindergarten. We invite you to register your child for Kindergarten at your local school. To find out which school serves your neighbourhood, visit www.findmyschool.ca.

In September, 2010, our Board began offering the full day kindergarten program in some schools as part of a province wide implementation plan. Thirty-one schools in our Board will be offering full day kindergarten as of September 2012. At these schools JK and SK children attend all day every day.

French Immersion is also offered at some schools. For 2012 these are: F.A. Hamilton, Brisbane, Palmerston, and for Edward Johnson students who are the the FI students at the King George "holding" school. To determine what school in your area offers French Immersion, visit www.findmyschool.ca, click on "Which School do I Attend?" and choose JF as the grade.

Kindergarten is the beginning of a lifelong adventure. As a parent you are your child's first teacher and most important teacher. We look forward to working together with you.
