AVI3MO VISUAL ARTS, University/College Preparation
Prerequisite: Grade 9 or 10 Visual Arts, Open 1 credit in the Arts
This course provides students with opportunities to further develop their skills and knowledge in visual arts. Students will explore a range of subject matter through studio activities, and will consolidate their practical skills. Students will also analyse art works and study aspects of Western art history, as well as Canadian art forms from various parts of the world. Skills will be focused into the production of major pieces of work. Students will explore drawing, painting, sculpture, design, print, aesthetics, criticism and art history.
