Suspicion
      We at the Colonial Advocate have suspicions that local residents are
hiding patriots on their property. A certain person has told us that they have
followed a rebels' footprints to a certain home and the prints just stopped.
      He said to us that he had known something suspicious was going on.
He also has told us that he had found something interesting, but was not
allowed to tell us.
     I believe that this man is not hiding a rebel because he has also helped
us out with other stories. What do you think of this story? If you hear or see

As a writer, columnist, and inhabitant of these parts of land, it has been brought to my attention that people are thinking that others are hiding, maybe aiding rebels. Although it is perhaps only a rumour, many people have this suspicion. Around the York area and Niagara region where patriots and angry rebels sometimes seem to be fighting for rights, it is said that people who should be against these rebels are aiding them. These people are supposedly hiding rebels on their properties and protecting them even when they should be punished for their actions. This is a suspicion we have, but for people helping rebels they better be prepared to face large consequences if they are caught.
Patriots and rebels should be facing the consequences for their actions and should be punished . This is my opinion on the issue and i know many people agree, that helping these law-breaking rebels is wrong and people need to stop it immediately.
 

Suspicions are that local residents are hiding patriots on their property. Local residents have been saying that people are hiding patriots, but they don't know who the people are that are hiding the patriots. The reason they say this is becasue they have seen them or they know some are in around town. The Sherriff says he went to a family's house and searched, but he didn't find anyone. So he is going to keep on a searching and look for a sign of a rebel around town. He is asking for a report if you have knowledge of patriots who are hiding rebels on their properties.

GOSSIP
These days, the gossip around town is that there is a resident near-by, hiding a rebel somewhere within their property. I have my eye on one family in particular. Lately, they have been so tense around anyone that
may be able to turn them in. The most obvious place that I can think of where this family may be hiding the rebel, is in the barn. I have no Idea whatsoever why these people would be aiding a rebel, they know what
would happen to themselves and their home.
It seems that they are aiding this rebel by hiding him, keeping him safe from illness or death. We just don’t understand how any of the Silas Hawkes' men haven’t found this rebel yet. I mean it really can’t be that hard, unless, the family that we are suspicious about are doing really well at hiding the rebel. It is just a matter of time before we catch this family in the act and bring them and the ebel to justice
