A school is a place where students are learning the skills and developing the attitudes and collaborative work skills that will be needed to become productive citizens in the 21st century. The collaborative work that happens on a professional activity day is a window into how we want our students to enter the workforce after workplace, highschool or post secondary studies. The skills needed are the same for many areas of employment. At our last professional activity day, teachers, admin and student teachers completed a school effectiveness survey in mixed division groupings to determine how we are doing in the following areas: Assessment, School and Classroom Leadership, Student Voice, Curriculum Teaching and Learning, Programs and Pathways, Home, School and Community Partnerships. We will be looking at the results together to determine which areas could be improved from a staff perspective.
We need your input - Safe Schools Parent Survey
"A positive school climate exists when all members of the school community feel safe, comfortable and accepted (Kevin Costante, October 2010)." In order to promote a positive school climate we need to understand what particular successes and challenges we have at our individual school so that we can work together with school staff, parents and guardians, students and community partners. We are asking parents to fill out the following survey at the link listed below. The survey will remain open until May 11th, 2012. The results help us to determine next steps to improve our school climate. We need the input of many parents to help us obtain an accurate view. Please help us by filling out the following survey:
