Grade 8 Applicant Results Are Out!

Attention grade 8 applicants to our IB Preparatory Program,

Applicant acceptances have been sent out to students and parents as of Wednesday, January 18.  Please contact Heather Buck, the IB Coordinator hbuck@ugcloud if you have not received an email.  A number of email addresses "bounced back" so be rest assured that we will attempt to be in touch as soon as possible.

Also, when responding with your acceptance or decline of offer, STUDENTS should be logged into their ugcloud account on the browser when clicking on the link.  If this does not work for you, please email hbuck@ugcloud with your response.  As it is a very busy time, please do not expect an immediate response.

GCVI's IB Information Night is Thursday, November 17, from 7 -9 pm in the GCVI Auditorium.

 

It is a busy and informative night where you will learn about:

 

  • The International Baccalaureate Organization
  • The IB Diploma Programme (grades 11 and 12)
  • GCVI's Preparatory Program (for grades 9 and 10) leading to the IB Diploma Programme
  • The Application Process for grade 8 students
  • How the IB can work for students from all backgrounds like FI and students with Giftedness
  • The amazing things GCVI has to offer

All are welcome, but particularly those interested in joining the grade 9 Preparatory Program.

 

Applications for the program will be available starting on November 17 and are due December 2, 2016.

Congratulations to all of the students who have officially started the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme!  Our Year One (grade 11) students are keen trailblazers who exemlify the iB Learner Profile.  Thanks for being on this journey with us students, parents and teachers - we are so excited to have started the DP!

Congratulations GCVI on becoming an IB World School! World School

After two years of hard work as a candidate school, GCVI is an official IB World School.  The teachers, administration, students and parents of GCVI should feel proud of the excellence they showed the visiting team and feel confident in the quality program we are offering.  Our school now joins a community of 4200 like-minded public and private schools around the world that value international mindedness that aim to foster in students a sense of social and environmental responsibility, in addition to an excellent academic education.

Being an IB World School means that we are providing students the opportunity to pursue a variety of postsecondary programs ranging from the Sciences to the Fine Arts.  The breadth of the program keeps local and international university doors open.

How to Apply to the Preparatory Program
