As I explained in a recent letter, the staffing process is a complicated process that takes quite a bit of time to complete. As soon as staffing is finished for our school I will send home a letter listing each teacher with his/her assignment. Thanks for your understanding and patience.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Graduation

Grade 8 Graduation will take place on Wednesday, June 26 in the evening. Specific details have not been determined but the ceremony will begin at 7PM in the gym with the dance beginning at the conclusion of the ceremony.

Electives

Grades 1-8 will be participating in "Electives Activities" on April 12th periods 1/2, April 19th periods 3/4, and April 26th periods 5/6. Staff have organized a number of activities for each of these dates that include: Journal Creations, Chess, Road Hockey, Dance, Scrapbooking, Knitting, Lacrosse, Rugby, Drawing, Lego Animation, Calligraphy, Band Instruments, Karate, Flexibility and Balance Training, French activities, and others not yet determined. Students will sign up for an elective before hand for each of these dates. Sounds like fun!!

Volunteer Activities by Teachers

As you may know that ETFO is suspending the advice to members regarding their participation in voluntary/extra-curricular activities in light of progress made during discussions with the provincial government. I will keep you updated as to any changes. Thank you for your patience.
