Environmental Learning Centre at Island Lake Public School

The Upper Grand District School Board has designed and built an Environmental Learning Centre on the site of Island Lake Public School in Orangeville, Ontario. This two classroom building showcases Green Technologies such as straw bale insulation, solar panels, a water cistern, a wind turbine, passive solar energy, and the ability to monitor all energy usage, and generation, on-site or live on the internet.
