CDDHS/DCMA Battlefields Tour 2013

This is a strong encouragement to get your Dufferin County Museum and Archives visits planned BEFORE August 13th.
 
We're sad to announce that Kayla Mantle will be leaving the DCMA on August 13th to take up her new position as a teacher at Branksome Hall in Toronto. This is sad news for the museum (& our Battlefields partnership) but it is GREAT news for Kayla - we wish her all the best & thank her for the tremendous work she did leading our research team at the DCMA.
 
So (again) get in to the DCMA SOON & get your veteran's research underway before the 13th!

This is a very important reminder to all Battlefields participants & parents that the DCMA is hosting two excellent research-based workshops to help get you started with your Veteran's Biography on July 10th & July 12th.
 
These workshops are FREE to any Battlefields participants & are led by Kayla Mantle, Educational Coordinator for the Battlefields Tour at the Museum.
 
Each workshop goes from 9am-3pm - all you need to do is call the DCMA at 1-877-941-7787 to register & identify yourself as a Battlefields Student - feel free to bring Mum or Dad along (even a good friend!) - by taking part in these workshops you can EASILY get your preliminary research accomplished at the Museum.
 
Spots are going fast, so reserve your place TODAY!
 
Best of luck & drop me an email to let me know how you did...I'd also love to know who your Veteran is!  Remember to get them / the family to sign the Contract asap.
