Proposal Submission Guide

The Upper Grand District School Board and Jer's Vision are proud to present the Rainbow Coalition Conference, being held at Harcourt Memorial United Church on Tuesday, April 9th, 2013.

Info From the website:

This student-led conference (then known as the Rainbow Summit) was founded by Nishin Nathwani and a dedicated committee two years ago as part of the Rainbow Coalition in Guelph. This year's organizing schools are John F. Ross, Centennial, Center Wellington, Erin, and Wellington Heights.

The focus of the Rainbow Coalition Conference is to connect students that are LGBTQ and allies with each other and community resources. This will be done by workshops led by professionals, community members, and student teams. Students will be given a chance to share anti-bullying strategies, and anti-homophobia and anti-transphobia education. Importance will be placed on how students can take the skills that they've learned back to their schools and communities, running high-impact events and staying connected post-conference.

The organizing committee is looking for proposals from students for this conference.
