Kortright Hills Public School is a new school located in the south end of Guelph in the Kortright Hills area.
Our school yard backs on to Mollison Park. This has recently undergone major redesign and renovation work by the City of Guelph. A tennis court, a baseball diamond and new playground equipment have been installed. These are all easily accessible to our students from our yard. Classroom teachers make use of these facilities during Physical Education lessons.
The City of Guelph has also provided funding for a Community Room in our school. It is the size of a regular classroom, with separate entrance and washroom facilities. The room can be booked by neighborhood groups for activities and functions. It will be operated by the Kortright Hills Community Organization.
The Guelph YMCA provides a before and after school daycare service in our building. Students can be dropped off as early as 7:00 a.m.. They are cared for by qualified supervisors until school begins and after classes end in the afternoon.
The Kortright Hills attendance area includes the boundary of Concession 4 to the south, the Hanlon expressway to the east, the speed river to the north and the city of Guelph townline to the west. Our grade seven and eight classes also include students from the University Village K-6 catchment area.
At Kortright we are a caring and sharing community of learners. We are proud of our new school facility and all that it has to offer. We welcome inquiries from parents of prospective students.
