French in Mr. Sidlar's Class

We have started designing our folders which will house our materials for our first unit; 5s: Louis la grenouille,  6s: Les animaux du bayou. They will give students an opportunity to write and spell the vocabulary of this unit. The folders are due on Thursday, September 29th.

 

Folder Criteria: 

Students were given time today to complete the comprehension questions based on the story Le Prince Grenouille. It was for homework for students who did not complete the remaining 4 questions. Homework will be checked tomorrow. Additional time will be provided at recess for those who need extra support or time to complete the questions.

Today the grade 6s were to finish responding to 4 questions based on the story Le Prince Grenouille. We completed one of the four questions together as a class. Students are to use their reading strategies to support them with answering the questions; mots amis (look for English looking words), mots conns (look for words you already know) and a dictionary (www.wordreference.com is a great online dictionary). This work will be checked tomorrow morning and additional time will be provided at recess for those requiring extra support or time to complete the questions.
