The School Council recognizes that the families
and community members have supported a
number of initiatives within the school and other
community organizations. In order to reduce
those demands, the School Council has planned
just a few fund raisers in hopes that parents will
give greater support to fewer activities. A.P.S.
Parent Council has committed to fundraising
three items this year: Chicken orders (Fall,
Winter, & Spring); Christmas Card/Calendars;
and All Treat Mulch and Soil.
Funds raised this year will go towards offsetting
the cost of busing for school trips, books for
library, outdoor and gym play equipment, snack
program, Kindergarten and Grade 8 graduation
as well as to support public skating and swim.
The grade 6 & 8 students have the option of
supporting the Winter chicken fundraiser and the
funds the students raise will be allocated to their
individual trip costs for Grade 6 camp or Grade 8
trip to Quebec. Two additional fundraiser
activities will be in place to help support the
grade 8 trip to Quebec.
