Hi Grade 6s:)

First, I need parents to know that the students and I decided on Friday that if they I allowed them to write the Probability end-of-unit test on Tuesday, it would mean that we would be starting our Measurement unit today and would have measurement homework to do on Monday night.

Here is the homework:

We have already corrected the handout sheet except for question 4. Please complete question 4.

I'm sorry that I forgot to post the homework prior to leaving school today and now don't have the assigned questions with me.  I assigned questions that are similar to the test questions that the grade 7s will have tomorrow and that the grade 6s will have on Friday. I can work with grade 6 students who have challenges tomorrow if they let me know.

Intermediate Drumming

 Permanent link
The intermediate drumming group will be open to all grade 7 and 8 students. The group will perform at Drumfest in June. In order to be in the group, you must attend a drumming workshop that is scheduled for Wednesday, March 23 from 3:00pm to 4:30pm. The workshop will be given by Tom Wolf, of Drum Cafe Ltd. Tom will be teaching us how to get the best sounds from our drums, will give us some rhythms to play, and will help us create some compositions for drumfest. Following the workshop, we will drum together twice per week (for 15 minutes during morning recesses on days 2 and 5) so we can be fabulous for drumfest and also because drumming is so much fun! If the first workshop is great (which I fully expect it will be), we will have Tom back for a second workshop.
