Science homework tonight- new unit on mechanical efficiency and mechanical advantage.  Students have seven questions to work on, investigating how a can opener (simple machine) works. 

That's it!  Reports home Thursday December 10th.  I think I said Wednesday...  I actually am not totally sure about that.  I will find out tomorrow...  funny eh?

Homework tonight is fairly straight forward.  Students need to complete an organizer and rough draft for their mini essay they are writing.  We've focused the majority of our lessons on good planning and appropriate technique in writing introductions,  body and conclusions.  Likewise, we've worked on develooping good opening and closing sentences and appropriate transition words that aid in paragraph fluency.  It's almost as if we are dissecting the essay and rebuiling it.  Students should be working on the process, not the product so-to-speak.

No math homework as students wrote their unit test in patterning and algebra today.  Please ask how they did as I returned it this afternoon.
