Dear Parents!

Thank you for your support with our bake sale.  You really came through and saved us.  I appreciate your efforts considering the short notice!  Tonight students should be working to revise and edit their rough draft for speeches.  Some students have completed their entire rough drafts, others have not started.  Please check and see where your child is...  Students also need to be finishing up chapter one in their respective units.  Grade 7 is on chapter 7 and grade 8 is on chapter 13. 

Don't forget skiing on the 28th!

Dear Parents,

My sincerest apologies as I failed to mention that we have a scheduled "Bake Sale" tomorrow in support of our sponsored child in a third world country.  If it isn't too much trouble, would you kindly work with your son/daughter to prepare a small batch of something baked?  The lack of notice was poor planning on the intermediate teacher's part -we take full responsibility.  However, the event will run with what we have, please don't go out of your way to make a special trip, we can make due with whatever.

Tonight, if time allows, students should be working on their speech draft.  We hope to have these in good shape by the end of the week- the gym competition will likely take place on, or around the 10th of February, 2010.  Any students interested in participating needs to really make a concerted effort in the next two weeks.  Students interested in particpating in the gym competition will likely present in class during the first week of February.

Reminders:

Grade 8 Highschool selection forms are due in two weeks today.

Skiing on the 28th and Feb 11th.

Winter Olympics begin Feb 12th

Family Day on Feb 15th

Olympic Day at East Gary 17th.

PD Day Feb 22nd.
